At Confirmation, a child who has been raised in the Christian faith publicly confesses (confirms) that faith. The Confirmation class is intended to prepare that child for Confirmation by helping the child review, encounter, and examine what God has revealed about Himself and his love for each of us. The course also helps the child to consider what it means to be a cherished child of God, filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit and glorifying God with a life of joyful service and gratitude.

The course is framed by the Apostles Creed. Students will examine each part of the creed -- and the scriptures on which the statement of faith is based-- and engage in various activities that help them to understand the rich meanings behind the statements of belief. The class format will include discussion, games, reflective writing, assessments, and guest speakers. Each class will include a time of prayer.
